9 October: Valencia medieval market 2026
The market turns Jardín del Turia into a medieval village with more than fifty stalls selling handmade products, natural cosmetics, toys, decorative pieces and medieval objects, as well as traditional food. It is organised by Fevamic (Federación Valenciana de Moros y Cristianos) and Balconet, a themed-market operator. The programme includes street parades with musicians and minstrels, fire shows, theatre performances and dances.
Every autumn, a stretch of the Jardín del Turia is transformed for almost two weeks into a medieval settlement with more than fifty stalls. The Valencia medieval market returns in 2026 to stretch IX of the old riverbed, between the Puente de las Flores and the Puente de la Exposición, with free admission.
The stalls bring together handmade crafts, natural cosmetics, toys, decorative pieces and medieval-style objects, as well as traditional food stalls for a bite to eat while strolling between the stands. The market is organised by Fevamic (Federación Valenciana de Moros y Cristianos) together with Balconet, an operator specialising in themed markets.
Parades, fire and minstrels
Beyond shopping, the atmosphere is completed with parades of musicians and minstrels, fire shows, theatre performances and dances that move through the site during the day, designed so the market can be enjoyed both by strolling and by stopping to watch each performance.
The site, in the middle of the Jardín del Turia, is close to other green corners of the city such as the Parque del Oeste, another of the classic gardens of Valencia, or, somewhat further west, the extensive Parque de Cabecera, at the other end of the riverbed.
If a taste for craft and traditional products is left wanting more by a single market, it is worth looking at the Valencia markets guide or keeping a close eye on the markets listings so as not to miss the next dates.
