Cascada del Salto
Last fall of Anna's Tres Cascadas walk, about 1 km in, with water dropping from the Gorgo de la Escalera. Municipal fee applies; allow 25 min each way.
The Cascada del Salto is the last of the three falls on Anna's Tres Cascadas route: the walk starts at the Gorgo Gaspar, passes the ruins of the Miguelín factory, continues to the Vikingos waterfall and ends at the Casa y Cascada del Salto, whose water drops from the top of the Gorgo de la Escalera. It is a short walk of about 1 km to the fall, with footbridges and steps beside the water, inside the municipality of Anna.
The municipal fee
Access to the Tres Cascadas route (Gorgo Gaspar, Vikingos waterfall and Cascada del Salto) carries a municipal public fee: pay the official entry before starting and keep the ticket with you along the route. The charge funds the upkeep of a path with steady weekend traffic.
Getting there
Drive to Anna, about 70 km from València, since no public transport reaches the trailhead; the path leaves the village towards the gorgos area. The outward walk takes about 25 minutes at a calm pace, with stepped sections, so wear shoes with grip. The Gorgo de la Escalera, which feeds the waterfall, is listed as an inland bathing site and is reached down 136 steps.
Tips
- Arrive early: the route is short and fills up on spring weekends.
- See the Gorgo Gaspar and the full Tres Salts circuit on the same walk.
- Bathe only where signs allow it and follow the municipal staff's instructions.
