Embalse de Forata
A 1969 reservoir on the Magro with a gravity dam, fishing and a circular route from Yátova with Motrotón views. An easy outing.
The Forata reservoir, run by the Júcar water authority, was built in 1969 on the Magro river, with 231 hectares and 37 hm3 of maximum capacity. It has a gravity dam and an open lake between fields and ridges. It is a calm outing near the capital and a known fishing spot.
The Yátova circular route
The route links Yátova with the reservoir and back via the PR-CV 148, SL-CV 47 and PR-CV 115 trails, along traditional paths and footways. It gives views of the lake and the natural setting, with the Motrotón as a landmark. Upstream lies the Tabarla site, in the same Magro valley.
