History
After the 13th-century conquest, Ternils received the first Christian parish of the area, before Carcagente grew as a town. The hermitage keeps its Reconquest-church lines and is a listed Bien de Interés Cultural.

The 13th-century nave, sober and thick-walled, and the farmland setting that explains its rural origin. It is the oldest stop of the visit, predating the 1434 Asunción.
