What to see in Mogente
Mogente, about 74 km from València in the Costera, is the gateway to the Iberian Bastida. With some 4,400 residents (2025), it joins an Iberian site, an Almohad castle and a Neo-Gothic parish.
Outside, La Bastida de les Alcusses, a walled 4th-century BC town on a 741 m hill by the CV-652, needs the morning: the Guerrer appeared here in 1931, now in the Valencia Prehistory Museum. In the town, the late-12th-century Almohad castle with the Torre de Coloms and the church of San Pedro (1880-1889), of spire and eight bells, complete the day.
The plan leaves the Bastida for the long morning and the town for the afternoon. The Pare Moreno museum covers local archaeology.
