What to see in Tuéjar
Tuéjar, about 65 km from València, is an Alto Turia village with about 1,100 residents, between Chelva and Titaguas. It shares the Ruta del Agua trail network with Chelva and Calles.
The 17th-century Baroque Ángeles church, on the Il Gesù model, is a national historic-artistic monument. The Purisima chapel is recorded since 1595 north of the old centre. The San Cristóbal chapel, in the upper town, is now an exhibition hall and viewpoint. The Santos gate is the standing remnant of the walled enclosure.
