Ollería, the Valencian glass town in the Vall d'Albaida about 64 km from Valencia, works a tradition running nearly 1000 years. The Glass Collection sits in the Casa Santonja, the 17th-18th century Marau palace with a Masonic mural programme.

The 16th-century Santa María Magdalena church is a fortified Renaissance temple and a listed monument, raised after the Germanias war that ended here on 22 January 1522. The Loreto sanctuary, church of the former Dominican preachers convent, keeps the medieval patron image with mural paintings, and the 1588 Casa de la Vila shows the traders loggia with sundial, Gonari atlante and Roman inscription. The town trinquet is the oldest surviving Valencian pilota court.

Half a day covers glass museum and Casa Santonja, Magdalena church, Loreto sanctuary and old town on foot. The town suits museum and architecture lovers, with a war that ended here in 1522 still readable in the fortified church walls.
