History

The fortress guarded the route between the coast and Aragón through the Palancia valley. Its position explains the village plan, clustered below the rock, and the ring of hermitages and chapels around it.

What to see

Climb on foot to the Torreta and walk the walls, with the village below and the valley beyond. The visit is free and pairs with the Tower of the Bells and the Cruz Cubierta.
