History
Devotion to Lluch goes far back, but the present sanctuary is a 20th-century work, raised by subscription between 1927 and 1966. The climb became a traditional city walk, with the Stations marking the way.
What to see
The plain-lined church, the image of the patron, and above all the views over Alcira, La Vila and the Ribera farmland. Below lie the walls, the church of Santa Catalina and the Casa Consistorial.
Tips for your visit
- Walk up at sunset: the views improve in low light.
- Bring water; the slope is short but steep.
