What to see in Turís
Turís, about 30 km from València in the Ribera Alta, faces between the city and the inland mountains. With some 7,700 residents (2025), it joins archaeology, an Arab fortress and an 18th-century church.
In the town, Arab El Castellet, over a Bronze height dug in the 2000s, and the Natividad church (1777, by Gilabert, with marbles, dome and tower) form the centre. Outside, the Iberian-Roman city of La Carencia, an archaeological zone, needs a car.
The August fiestas honour the Virgen de los Dolores and Sant Francesc de Borja, and the Societat Musical dates from 1906. The plan joins town in the morning and Carencia by car.
The visit needs a long half day: Arab Castellet and Gilabert Natividad in the town in the morning, and La Carencia city by car. The August fiestas, 3 to 15, honour the Virgen de los Dolores and Sant Francesc, with the 1906 Societat Musical in the events. Come calmly.
