Charco del Chorro de Corbera
Rock-carved pool on the Río Grande with a walk-behind fall, one of four signed bathing pools near Quesa.
The Charco del Chorro is the most photographed of the four natural pools of Quesa, in the Canal de Navarrés: the Charco de la Horteta, the Fuentes, the Bañera and the Chorro itself. It is a rock-carved pool on the Río Grande with a shell-shaped bank, where a low fall can be walked behind through a half-cave in the wall.
Bathing
Bathing is allowed in the four pools, which differ in depth and size, one of them with a considerable cascade, all shaped in a narrows of the Río Grande. The water is spring-fed with an upstream weir and varies with the season; late spring to early autumn is the bathing window. There is no lifeguard service: use pools matching your level and mind slippery rock.
Access and crowds
The Los Charcos recreational-area car park is signed about 7 km from Quesa, then a pine-wood walk of about 1 km and 20 minutes. There is no public transport to the pools, so arrive by car or on foot from the village. It draws summer visitors, so arrive early, and the PRCV-203 leaves from here to the Abrigo de Voro rock paintings, with a via ferrata on site.
