The church of la Sangre is the Gothic church of the upper quarter of Villafamés, beside the castle. One of the two historic parish churches of the village, with a Gothic nave and stone doorway.
The church
The Gothic nave, of reddish stone like the village, keeps altarpieces and pieces of the upper parish. Its position by the castle makes it the landmark of the upper quarter. The visit takes a few minutes, before walking down to the Asunción and the MACVAC of the old quarter. Wear comfortable shoes for the upper-quarter slope.
