Onda Castle crowns the hill above the centre of Onda, the tile capital of the Plana. It is a fortress of Islamic origin extended in Christian times, with a castle museum inside and views over the factories and towns of the plain.
History
The castle guarded the route between the inland and the coast through the Plana. After the conquest it was adapted as residence and archive, and in the 20th century it was recovered as a municipal museum space.
