The church of la Sangre of Onda is a 13th-century transitional Gothic church, of Templar origin. Also known as Santa Margarita, it keeps a Mudejar wooden ceiling, the centrepiece of the visit. The timber roof is best seen from the middle of the nave, at ease.
The church
The single nave, with diaphragm arches and a timber roof, shows the passage from Romanesque to Gothic. The Mudejar ceiling, with latticework and paint, ranks among the finest of its kind in the district.
