Font del Xorrador

The Font del Xorrador is a small forest spring on the paths above Alcoi, shaded by pines near the Mirador de l'Estret viewpoint. The spring has a picnic area beside it, which makes it a modest rest stop rather than a destination fall: the scenic value comes from the shady pine setting and the nearby viewpoint, not from the flow itself. A logged loop from the town runs 2.86 miles (about 4.6 km) with 531 ft (162 m) of climbing, rated easy, in under an hour of moving time, through the Serra de Mariola foothills.

Spring and picnic area

The Àrea de la Font del Xorrador is listed as a picnic site close to the old Teular del Llonganisser ruins, a short detour off the local paths. The flow regime and drinkability are unknown, so treat the water as look-only and carry your own. The Mirador de l'Estret nearby gives the walk its views, and the outing pairs with the Salt de Barxell or the Racó de Sant Bonaventura for a fuller day around Alcoi.

Getting there

Drive to Alcoi, about 105 km from València; a car is needed, as no public transport reaches the trailheads. Start in town and follow the signed local paths uphill; exact trailhead bays are unsigned, so set the loop from the town edge.
