Museo Segrelles
House-museum built by painter Josep Segrelles from 1940, with over 150 original works, book illustrations and an 11,000-volume library.
In Albaida, the Segrelles Museum is the house the painter Josep Segrelles built for himself from 1940. It keeps original works, including his illustrations for books by Blasco Ibáñez and for Don Quixote, plus a large library.
History
Segrelles designed the house as home and studio and lived in it until his death. The town later turned it into a museum that preserves the rooms as the painter left them.
What to see
The oils and watercolours come first, then the library and the studio spaces. It combines with the puppet museum and the Milà y Aragó palace, all within the old town.
