The basilica of the Mare de Déu del Lledó houses the patroness of Castellón de la Plana in a pine grove outside the centre. The current building is from the 18th century, with a chapel for the image and a front square for the pilgrimages.
The church
The small Lledó image, of medieval tradition, centres an interior of chapels and votive offerings. The main feast, with a pilgrimage from the city, fills the grove every year. The surrounding pine grove invites a stroll before or after the visit.
